Felino CB7 Canadian Supercar 01 (Custom)

Canada is one of the larger producers of cars in the world, by means of assembly plants of foreign brands, yet it’s been several decades since the country has manufactured a car of its own.  The last Canadian-made car we remember is the Bricklin SV-1, with its gull-wing doors and Delorean-like body lines.  But now thanks to a brave Quebec racing star Antoine Bessette, the Felino CB7 is on the verge of becoming the next Canadian car, after 3 years of development in near complete secrecy.  Aside from its aggressive styling, some sources say that the CB7 will be a built on a front-engine/rear-wheel-drive platform and powered by a 2-liter 4-cyclinder 200 horsepower engine.  Other sources report that the prototype is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 that offers 525 horsepower.  Cleary final specifications remain to be seen.  The CB7 will tip the scale at less than 1,000 kilograms thanks to its fibreglass and carbon fibre body.  Bessette has said himself that it will a have a near 50/50 front/rear weight distribution and a six-speed transmission.  Expect first production model to roll next year.  $100,000 (approx).  www.felinocars.com
